Alexandria, VA – March 6, 2024 – In an effort to secure a foothold in the DC metro area, PetMedic has officially opened its doors today in Alexandria, Virginia. The location is in the heart of Old Town at 105 N. Saint Asaph Street, Unit 103, Alexandria, next to Tatte Bakery. This opening precedes openings in Navy Yard, Washington, D.C., and Edgewater, Maryland, later this year.
Modeled after human urgent care, PetMedic offers coordinated, convenient, and compassionate veterinary care for non-life-threatening conditions after regular business hours and on weekends. PetMedic complements pet owners’ trusted family veterinarians and alleviates the case overload at emergency hospitals. The first PetMedic clinic opened in Watertown, Massachusetts, and now has 11 other locations throughout the East Coast.
The clinic is led by Drs. Brent Gordon, DVM, and Jillian Schrier, DVM, who have years of experience in emergency medicine and general practice. They are joined by a team of highly skilled veterinary technicians and support staff. The hospital is complete with a modern surgical suite, laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and cutting-edge software that allows for an efficient workflow for team members.
