PetMedic Urgent Care Vet Clinic To Add First Location in Maryland

Edgewater, MD – May 5, 2024 – PetMedic Urgent Care Vet Clinic is thrilled to announce its first Maryland location, situated at 3046 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater within the vibrant Village at Lee Airpark. The urgent care hospital is slated to open in July 2024. This build marks a major milestone for the veterinary care provider as it ventures into the Old Line State. With its debut in Edgewater, Maryland, PetMedic expands its existing Mid-Atlantic presence, joining established locations in Tysons Corner, VA, Alexandria, VA, and the upcoming Navy Yard, Washington D.C. opening this June.

Modeled after human urgent care, PetMedic offers coordinated, convenient, and compassionate veterinary care for non-life-threatening conditions during extended hours and on weekends. PetMedic complements pet owners’ trusted family veterinarians and alleviates the case overload at emergency hospitals. The first PetMedic clinic opened in Watertown, Massachusetts, and now has 11 other locations throughout the East Coast.

The hospital will be led by Drs. Brechbiel and Delmotte who have years of experience in emergency medicine. They will be joined by a team of highly skilled veterinary technicians and support staff. The hospital is complete with a modern surgical suite, laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and cutting-edge software that allows for an efficient workflow for team members.

Practice Manager and local pet parent, Stephanie Sadler said, “Our area is in desperate need of an urgent care facility for pets. The community has been begging for it, and I’m so proud to say that I’m playing a part in bringing something of value to our city.”

PetMedic does not perform routine services provided by family veterinary practices, such as wellness visits, management of chronic illness, or administer vaccinations. Pet owners can make same-day appointments conveniently online. An outstanding healthcare team and client-centric approach is a top priority for all PetMedic clinics.
